… just not blogging while I take lessons in drawing, courtesy of Jeffery Camp, and the late Mr John Ruskin. The September stitchy challenge Autumn has taken a back seat but will be completed before the month is out.
The first image is a exercise in shading a stone using quill and ink. I had neither stone nor quill so resorted to a dip-in pen, drawing ink and a potato, a soft one that I’d forgotten was still in the vegetable rack. I think it looks more like a currant bun. The next one was just for fun,
copying trying to emulate styles of illustrators of old using a Unipen fine line pen 0.1.
