Normandy

JP and I returned home late on Friday night after spending an enjoyable week in Normandy. JP’s sister and her husband were with us but I was the only one with a smattering of French (learned at school many decades ago) which was put to good use attempting to translate menus, road signs and asking questions of shopkeepers and waiters. I took loads of photographs, most of which seem to be of the churches, cathedrals and medieval buildings in Caen, Bayeux, Mont St Michel and Rouen – all good for drawing practice if nothing else!
